Advertising is making your offer known (because if no one knows about your offer, no one can buy from you). Most people sell a thing, and no one knows about it.

You need to make your offer known—by advertising it.

Even though there are technically four ways to advertise an offer, only 2 are effective and efficient and work for any type of business:

  1. Posting Content: Telling many people you know; works as long as you have a huge follower base on social media, lots of newsletter subscribers, and / or decent ranking on Google for relevant keywords


  2. Running Ads: Telling many people you don't know; always works as you can laser-target people already interested in what you sell with an offer that resonates with their needs
